ABOUT THE PROJECT

The first annual run of the Jordan River Sign Project! This video gives insight into the process and what this project is all about.

The goal was to create art for some empty sign frames along the Jordan River Trail between 1700s & 1800n. So of course we had to see the river from a new perspective, and many perspectives.

We took some river trips with the Jordan River Community Initiative and many community youth groups to get ideas for the artwork. We had an awesome paint day where the youth had a literal hand in the creation of the artwork. Then we finished the pieces and displayed them at the Get Into the River 2016 Event!

Featuring Art By: Justified Artists, NVS FAM, & Friends – Valerie Huitzil & Stephanie Belshe!

Special thanks to: Jordan River Community Initiative, Splore, Hartland, SLC Open Space, and the volunteers and community leader/members who take an active role in building their community who envisioned this and made it into a reality.
